UPDATE: Girls’ Science Day is postponed!

There will not be an event on Saturday, April 20th, 2024.

As you may have seen, there has been a massive surge of protests and NYPD presence on Columbia’s campus in the last few days. Due to the unpredictable nature of current circumstances, we have been advised to reschedule tomorrow’s Girls’ Science Day event. After careful consideration, we believe that this is the best solution to ensure the safety of our attendees and volunteers alike. We will work with public safety and monitor current events on campus to reschedule our event at a more appropriate time. Thank you for your understanding, and please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

More about the day:

GSD is a free program of hands-on experiments for middle school girls. Groups of girls will rotate through experiment stations, each designed and led by teams of graduate students, faculty, and undergraduates from Columbia University.

Each student will participate in hands-on experiments and receive a t-shirt, goody bag, and lunch (all for free)!

We are looking forward to seeing you all there!
